The aim of the Interdisciplinary Center for Biobanking-Lübeck (ICB-L) is to enable a high-quality collection of biomaterials and associated clinical data that can be used for basic research and
the emergence of diseases. Furthermore, the collected samples and clinical data of the biobank are used for the identification, testing and validation of innovative biomarkers for improved
(early) diagnostics, therapy, aftercare and prognosis, thus promoting targeted therapy strategies in the sense of personalised medicine.
